1900-1910

Fashion in the early 1900’s still had much influence from the styles of the late 1800’s. Most importantly was the gradual abandonment of the corset that began in a few years, but at this time curvy women were considered extremely beautiful, and the appearance of long elegant lines and femininity was desired. Long, floor-length dresses were still worn, along with big hats and the decline of the bustle. For men, ┬áthe sack coat or lounge coat replaced the frock coat, and three piece suits are beginning to become a staple.
